CORE Drilling

Midnight Sun has two Core Drills one is a Small JKS 300 Fly drill (Rig # 10) and the other is a Maxidrill 10 that is good for Depths to 2500 feet of HQ (Rig # 6).

Rig # 6 is a brand new drill that is capable of both RC drilling and Core drilling, this machine has 40,000 pounds of pull backs and 5500 ft/lbs of torque, is hard track mounted fully self contained and is also helicopter portable in 2000 pound loads. This drill is 7' 5" wide by 16' long and will drive right into a standard 20' shipping container. We have also designed it to fit into a Twin otter.

We offer core sizes from AWL (1.062") up to PQ (3.345") and anysize in between.
